A Journey Has Ended But a New Path Has Opened

 During the Third Quarter, I learn a lot of new things that help me grow not only in school but also as a person. I was able to understand more about the lessons discussed in class and how they are connected to real life situations. I also discover that learning is not just about memorizing, but also about understanding and sharing your own ideas. This quarter helped me realized how important education is in shaping our thinking and values.

Even though I gained many learnings, I also experience some problems and challenges. One of the biggest challenge I faced was managing my time properly, especially when many activities and projects are given at the same time. There are moments when the lessons are hard to understand and I feel confused or stress. Sometimes, I also struggle to stay focus during long discussions and activities.

To deal with these challenges, I tried to change some of my habits. I started organizing my tasks and doing my works little by little so I won’t get pressured. When I don’t understand a lesson, I review my notes and search some information online. I also ask help from my classmates and try my best to listen more during class. These steps really help me improve and lessen my stress.

Moving on, I will continue to improve myself by managing my time better and being more active in class. I will try to be more responsible with my school works and not procrastinate. I will also apply the lessons I learned this quarter in my daily life and use them to become a better student and individual in the future.

A Greener Tomorrow

  Participating in the clean-up drive was a truly eye-opening experience that left a lasting impression on me. It not only allowed me to contribute to the community but also made me realize the significant impact of our daily actions on the environment. Witnessing the amount of waste and debris that had accumulated in our surroundings was a stark reminder of the importance of responsible waste management and the need for sustainable practices. What struck me most was the collective effort of volunteers from diverse backgrounds coming together to make a difference. Seeing people unite for a common cause, despite their differences, was truly inspiring.  President Ferdinand Marcos declared July as Nutrition Month under Presidential Decree No.491, signed on June 25, 1974, according to the National Nutrition Council. This decree aimed to raise awareness among Filipinos about the importance of good nutrition. Fifty-one years have passed since the declaration of Nutrition Month —thankfully, it still strives and spreads awareness among Filipinos, especially students. In Ilocos Sur National High School, every July, we celebrate Nutrition Month by doing many activities, such as poster making, cooking competitions, and many more But on July 14, our ICT teacher, Ma'am Evelyn, unexpectedly announced that there would be a Nutri Quiz that day.
